As Christians, we believe that God speaks to us through God's written word, the Bible. As Christians, we speak to God through prayer. As a congregation, we believe that prayer is an important part of our Christian life.  We, the members of Prince of Peace, pray in words and sometimes we even lift up prayers to our Lord in song.

What should I do then? I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray with the mind also; I will sing praise with the spirit, but I will sing praise with the mind also.                                                  I Corinthians 14:15

Prayer Request

Click the graphic to send a prayer request.  Please note specifically whether your request is to our pastor, prayer chain, and/or our entire church family.

Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

John 14:13-14

Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain is organized to lend support in prayer to those in need. Prayer requests are passed along the chain and the concerns or celebrations are included in the Prayer Chain members’ daily prayers.

If you would like to share your concerns or celebrations, or for any reason feel the need for prayer, please contact our prayer chain coordinator, Mary-Ellen Baxter,  (815) 232-7922.

If, as a member of Prince of Peace, you would like to be a part of our e-mail prayer chain, please send us your name and e-mail address to pray@princeofpeacefreeport.com.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.        —Philippians 4:6
